Kew Gardens Wedding Photography

Where to begin with this one! Dishani and Joseph approached us to capture their Tamil wedding to be held at the stunning Kew Gardens in London. Word from the wedding planner was that the florals would be stunning and we were not disappointed. The floral wedding decor at the Nash Conservatory at Kew was breathtaking. The team at Amarante London had pulled out all the stops creating Dishanis 'Pinterest' Wedding. The pastel tones were beautiful. As a wedding photographer in London, capturing a Tamil Wedding at Kew Gardens was just dreamy.

Kew Gardens is a stunning wedding venue in London. Couples have the choice of the light and airy Nash Conservatory, the Temperate House, The Oraangery or Cambridge Cottage. All four are beautiful in their own right. Dating back to 1759 and now with over 50000 plants, the beautiful wedding venues, and just the pleasure of being outdoors in London, it is well worth a visit. As a wedding photographer in London, Kew Gardens has always been on our bucket list of venues to shoot at and it certainly lives up to expectations. Based in West London, it is easily accessible from London and further afield.

Tamil Wedding at Kew

If you've not been to a Tamil Wedding, the ceremony is a collection of tradition and fun. The bride actually makes two entrances, one in a sari of her choice, and a second in a traditional sari gifted to her by her new family. The main event of the ceremony is the tying of the Thali - a special necklace from the groom. At the end of the ceremony, friends and family bless the couple by showering them with rice.

Kew Gardens provided the most beautiful backdrops for wedding portraits. We picked three different locations around the Gardens. It was so hot but we're glad we stuck with the heat (and the crowds). A big shout out to the team at Kew for their attention to detail, and help during the day.
