Gunnersbury Park in West London is home to the grand Gunnersbury House, and the Orangery, both of which played host to Shenal and Pri's Indian Wedding in London. The wedding venues at Gunnersbury Park provide an awesome mix of regal grandeur of the House, and the light and airy vibe which our couple wanted, in the Orangery. There are also countless beautiful spots in the Park for wedding portraits - but more on that later!

Indian Wedding at Gunnersbury Park

Shenal and Pri chose a pastel theme for their Indian Wedding in West London. Having chosen the Orangery as their venue, we knew the day would be light and airy, with gorgeous pastel tones throughout. The crescent shaped Mandap in the Orangery suited the venue perfectly. Shenal wore a stunning pastel pink lengha, and Pri wore a matching sherwani. The jaan arrival through Gunnersbury Park has to be one of our favourites of the year - it was loud, colourful and definitely caught the attention of everyone!

Hindu Wedding Ceremony in Gunnersbury

The traditional Hindu ceremony went perfectly. With the light streaming into the Orangery, we definitely got that airy vibe the couple were after. The ceremony was conducted by Kamal Pandey, teaming up with Shiv Gopal for music. Having worked with both of them on numerous weddings, we know its always going to be an emotional, but sometimes humorous ceremony.

Having completed the ceremony and family portraits in the mandap, we stole the couple away for some beautiful wedding portraits in Gunnersbury Park.

Wedding Portraits in the Park

As a wedding photographer in London, having some time with the couple after the ceremony for some portraits is important. It allows us to capture the couple, on their own, and give them a chance to relax after the ceremony. Gunnersbury Park has plenty of spots for portraits. The roman-esque architecture is awesome for some regal portraits, and the huge 186 acre grounds means we were never short of open space for some natural, editorial inspired portraits.

Wedding Reception in Gunnersbury Park

The couple finished off their day with a beautiful meal in the Orangery. Long tables provided a classy setting for their guests to enjoy their meal. With entertainment from a violinist instead of a DJ, this was not your usual Indian Wedding Reception. It felt intimate, with no need for flashy lights and screens.

Gunnersbury Park Wedding Venue

Gunnersbury Park is a standout venue. Based in West London, it is easily accessible from most of London and the surrounding areas. With the House or Orangery to choose from, the vast grounds, and the beautiful architecture, it should be a consideration for all couples looking for their Indian wedding venue in London. It is also one of the few wedding venues in London that truly feels intimate and romantic. The lush parkland at Gunnersbury provides endless opportunities for wedding portraits, and also can be used for outdoor ceremonies if the weather is on your side! It is by far one of our favourite venues from this year and we hope to be back there soon!
